How to use Colouring Pencils effectively as a gradient

1. First you should get your sketch/inked drawing and get colouring pencils.

2. Colour in the light colours first lightly (especially if they are wax colouring pencils because it becomes difficult to apply darker layers of colour when light colours are applied darkly/not lightly).

3. Apply dark colours. Start from the "end" of the outline, darker to lighter. This makes a nice gradient. Get a colour that is slightly different from the two colours you have applied already, preferably a light colour or medium colour (e.g. if you have chosen blue and light blue, choose a colour like lavender) and blend the two colours.

(4.) If you have a colourless blending pencil, it will be easier to blend the two colours.
